In the autumn of 2005 these groups had a first meeting in Karlstad with only one purpose in mind – to create a unique knife in aspects of form and application. No cost compromises were allowed! SwingBlade A new combi knife with locked blade
The SwingBlade is a joint development by EKA and Outdoor Edge, USA, of the successful non-locked EKA E8 Combi Knife. The gut opener blade makes the gut opening and skinning easy and fast. Cutting from the inside means that the edge stays sharp a long time. The stubbed nose prevents inside damage. The knife blade is designed for effective skinning as well as general-purpose cutting. The knife blade is 10 cm long and the gut opener blade 8 cm. The knife comes with a sheath of hard plastic with a soft outside cover. Steel quality is AUS-8 hardened to 57-59 HRC.
